Saudi Sipchem's EVA Film Plant starts operation.

Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) has announced that EVA Film Plant (EVA), an affiliate of Sipchem owned by Saudi Specialized Products Company (SSPC), has commenced its commercial operations on Tuesday, 1st January.

The EVA Film plant's performance tests were completed successfully, confirming the plant’s annual production capacity of 4,000 metric tonnes (MT) of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Film, according to a company statement.

The financial impact of full commercial operations will be reflected in the company's financial results as of the first quarter of 2019,” the Tadawul-listed firm added.

Located in Hail Industrial City, the project is the first of its kind in the GCC region, with an estimated cost of SAR 150 million.
