The agreements provide for the parties to cooperate on meeting the needs of the region in high-tech bitumens and oils produced by Gazprom Neft. The company's specialists, based on Gazprom Neft’s largest research center (SIC) in Ryazan, will develop optimal bitumen and asphalt mixes recipes based on the use of local inert materials. To do this, the unique equipment of the SIC will simulate the real operating conditions of the roads of the Kurgan region, taking into account the traffic and climatic features of the region. For testing and further monitoring of bitumen materials and asphalt mixes, pilot areas of roads will be built. This method allows you to collect statistical information on the use of high-tech bitumen materials and empirically confirm the effectiveness of their use.
An important area of partnership between Gazprom Neft and the Kurgan Oblast will be the promotion of import substitution of motor oils and other lubricants. In accordance with the terms of the agreement, Gazprom Neft's oil business operator Gazprom Neft-Lubricants will expand cooperation with city and municipal enterprises aimed at selecting domestically produced high-tech motor oils that meet the requirements of the world's largest automotive manufacturers and are designed to replace expensive imported analogues.
